PDF is usually the safest starting point
When the document is ready, export it to PDF. This reduces the risk of fonts, spacing or page breaks changing on another computer.
Check the page size
A4 and A3 are not the same as “almost A4”. If the design has a defined size, keep it rather than relying on automatic scaling.
Artwork reaching the edge needs bleed
Items that will be trimmed need extra artwork outside the cut line. Text and important elements should not sit directly on the edge.
Open the PDF before sending
Scroll through every page and check blanks, order and orientation. A quick check can prevent an entire incorrect set.
